Our Story

At Philipson Architecture, we are passionate about rebuilding homes with both purpose and care. Our team has played a pivotal role in the recovery of over 10 homes following the 2018 Woolsey Fire, understanding firsthand the profound impact of loss and the resilience required to rebuild. With a background in luxury design, we believe that organic modern luxury should be accessible to everyone. Our design philosophy centers on achieving balance—between aesthetics and functionality, sustainability and luxury, tradition and innovation.

We embrace the concept of tikkun olam, the Jewish principle of repairing the world. This guides our approach to every project, as we seek not only to rebuild homes but to improve the surrounding environment and community. Our commitment to sustainability is paired with cutting-edge technologies, utilizing emerging tools like machine learning to optimize designs for energy efficiency, resource management, and environmental impact. This integration of technology allows us to create homes that are not only resilient to future challenges but also foster a deeper connection between residents and the world around them.

Our holistic approach responds thoughtfully to the needs of each community and each individual. We design spaces that stand as symbols of renewal—homes that provide shelter, comfort, and a foundation for new beginnings. At Philipson Architecture, we don’t just rebuild; we repair, innovate, and inspire, ensuring every home we touch contributes to the ongoing process of tikkun olam—repairing the world, one home at a time.
